Developers of Foothills shopping center are bringing a modified food court back to the Midtown mall.

School of Rock, a music school franchise made famous by the 2003 Jack Black movie of the same name, is hosting its grand opening Oct. 10 at Foothills shopping center in midtown Fort Collins.

The open house, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature tours of the school, free trial lessons and family activities on the center’s lawn, 215 E. Foothills Parkway, Suite 720.

School of Rock is run by Donna and Charles Silber, a lifelong musician, who moved from San Antonio, Texas, last year to open the school that focuses on classic rock rather than classic Beethoven.
